DEI/ANTI-OPPRESSIVE STATEMENT

Prevention Meets Fashion (PMF) is a 501c(3) organization dedicated to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. In solidarity with anti-racism and anti-oppressive research, education, teaching, and learning practices for BI&POC, LGBTQIA+, non-binary, and sex work communities.

We acknowledge the historical and institutional barriers that have contributed to the sexual and reproductive inequities of BI&POC, LGBTQIA+, non-binary, and sex work communities.

PMF focuses on and employs a diverse team of passionate staff, consultants, interns, volunteers with an understanding and expertise in sex education, social work, public health and fashion. 

Our approach to our work is centered around social justice, sexual and reproductive health justice, racial justice, disability justice, anti-racism, anti-oppressive, and anti-white supremacist principles.

This includes providing opportunity and access for all people across differences of race, age, color, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, religion, national origin, migratory status, disability/abilities, political affiliation, veteran status and socioeconomic background.
