DIY FABRIC SCRAP WREATH MAKING & TOY DRIVE
WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH: HIV AND AIDS PANEL AND BRUNCH
Our annual DIY Fabric Scrap Wreath Making and Toy Drive event is held in December. It is a time for community to come together and create holiday wreaths using left over scrap materials from PMF’s Affirming Fashion Closet and yearly art projects. It is a free event in exchange for a new toy, book, gift card or donation to get a toy(s) for children, teens and families during the holiday. Each year we distribute the items to our clients and we pick an organization to donate the left over toys. Some former recipients of toys were Covenant House PA, Ark of Safety and Next Level Church.
Our annual Women’s History Month: HIV and AIDS Panel and Brunch raises awareness about the impact of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV on women, girls, and gender-expansive people while demonstrating PMF’s commitment to uplifting marginalized voices. By uniting voices across disciplines and experiences, this gathering reaffirms the power of collective action in driving change and support to those living with HIV. Our esteemed panelist delve into the challenges faced by women and girls and explore prevention methods, including programs and services provided at Prevention Meets Fashion.
