What is Comprehensive Sex Education (CSE)?

CSE is medically accurate, age-appropriate, information about sexuality and sexual and reproductive health, which is critical to health, wellness and survival.

  • It views sexuality holistically, as a part of young people’s emotional and social development. 

  • It recognizes that information alone is not enough.

  • It is concerned with more than just the STI prevention or pregnancy. 

CSE is NOT abstinence only or the rebranded name Sexual Risk Avoidance education.
