Speakers Bureau

Our Speakers Bureau is a multifaceted program. The program is designed to educate and train community members on the benefits of owning their own narrative and telling their own story. Also, it is an opportunity to gain speaking experience and develop leadership skills. Far too many organizations get requests for speakers with lived and living experience only for the money to not get in the hands of the people telling their story. Each time someone tells their story, especially for Black and Black LGBTQ folx, there is a chance of them being re-traumatized. Our program helps build confidence and skills for these communities to finally say “Pay Me!”

Our Speakers Bureau is made up of Black, people of color and LGBTQ+ folks who have lived and living experiences related to PMF's mission, academic experience, or those who are educated or knowledgeable about a particular subject matter.

We welcome all to apply to be a speaker but we will center BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folx. We provide speakers to colleges/universities, schools, businesses, organizations and community groups to discuss a variety of topics including Prevention Meets Fashion Inc. and our programs.

Our speakers can send a single speaker or an entire panel for virtual and in-person speaking engagements.

Any honorarium goes directly to the speaker.
